Our Hydroponics

Something you should know:

From the micro to the macro

Grown with nothing but seawater, water and air.
(Along with simulated sunlight and photosynthesis)

There is plenty of seawater, rainwater and air in our world.
So why are so many people going hungry and starving?
Plants are 50% carbon, and this is a positive way to help to solve climate change at the same time.

Seven different tests – and they all worked.

It’s easy!

Something your kids can do at home.

Using just recycled items: well washed milk cartons etc.

Steps.

Make up a sea-nutrient liquid of either:

10% very clean seawater with 90% tap water

(Very well stirred to allow the chlorine to evaporate off*)

Or

Get concentrated ocean water (probably the best) from Ocean Grown Ltd at

info@oceangrown.co.uk

Use just 1% of Ocean Solution to 99% de-chlorinated tap water*.

Put the seedlings into the cut-open upside-down carton with very clean gravel and support the carton.. Our ones are stapled to a board, leaving space beneath.

Then use the ‘Flood and Drain’ method:

With the bottom trap closed fill the carton with the nutrient liquid to the top of the root level and leave for up to about four hours.

Then with a container underneath open the trap and let it drain off for up to eight hours (overnight?) to let the air in. This is important for best growth.

Close the trap and refill with the liquid. If the trap leaks due to silting-up support the container with the liquid in it so that the bottom of the carton sits in the liquid where the bottom roots can reach it.

Use this process while you plants grow.

So from the micro to the macro you can grow your own superb quality vegetables

(or flowers).

By using the same system with larger units our world can grow all the food we need.

The best quality at the lowest cost.

Feeding the world with just seawater, fresh water and air.

Notes:

You can try other methods. We tried seven different ways and they all worked.

Water: Pure rainwater may be a better way.

**If you use tap water try to spray it into a container, or repeatedly pour it from a height and maybe leave open over-night to remove the chlorine.

Doing your bit towards “getting our world together, together”

Keep on trying – you can do it!
