World Answers for all of us. Part 1.

First, understanding the current situation: As a global society we are:

Missing the pointGoing in the wrong direction.  Ignoring reality

Part 2. (to follow) is about the clear and simple solutions. For £120,000 Global Eco can give our world the answers.

Key aspects:  Climate Change and World Resources – resolving the global financial crisis.

1). Climate Change.
Missing the point
The manmade carbon dioxide in the air is a gigantic source of world wealth and resources in the wrong place. Ready to be used by sunlight and photosynthesis.

Going in the wrong direction
Emission controls
: If the annual emissions were reduced by 10% (not likely) it merely reduces the rate of increase. Thus this year’s 24 billion tonnes, would be 40 billion next year, 60 billion the following year and so on… Al Gore and Richard Branson (Virgin Earth Challenge) say that if our planet’s temperature increases by six degrees we will all be extinct.

Ignoring reality
Melting Permafrosts: From two science magazines and one tv programme: Siberian permafrosts the size of Germany plus France, are putting out the equivalent to seventy five times that of manmade emissions. Both CO2 and methane. I also found out that the Canadian and Alaskan permafrosts are doing about the same.
It seems that our people in charge are ignoring this. Presumably on the basis that if they cannot tackle it, they pretend it is not happening. While we are fiddling about with emission controls – worthy enough – but pointless in terms of actual solutions. Note). Within Global Eco’s world recovery plans we know the answer. If one can act in time. Typically, what’s £120K compared to the survival of 6.7 billion people?  2). World Resources and human survival.

Missing the point
In actuality the financial crisis is really a resources crisis while money is zooming out of control by millions, billions and trillions. For example: I remember when petrol was a shilling a gallon and bread was about one penny a loaf. Look at the difference: Petrol and bread are still the same value, while the costs have been spiralling out of control. Our world resources, and supplies from industry and agriculture worldwide, are about to run out – both at the same time. Then what will we do?

We have one billion people, - a sixth of out human family - facing starvation according to President Sarkozy. That equals twice the population of the EU. Imagine: people lying on the streets dying and dead. I know, I have been there, filming in Calcutta fifty years ago. (that changed my life!).

Going in the wrong direction

We don’t need the shuffling, juggling and pushing millions, billions and trillions around hopefully. That’s not the answer. That won’t solve anything long-term; with hard times for us in the meantime. We need to work with out planet’s natural systems of processes, functions and cycles to produce foods, biofuels and materials (etc.) on a continuous, cyclic and expanding basis using the sunlight, the air-carbon, and the virtually unlimited minerals, or elements, of the oceans (sufficient for at least a thousand times our present population). While our authorities want us to manufacture more, spend more, consume and throw away more of our finite and rapidly dwindling resources because of the money-oriented GDP and GNP.  We have countries, corporations and companies actively competing with each other to see who can exhaust our world’s remaining resources the fastest. In 1972 I wrote the Slo Mo Crunch, and repeatedly pointed out that our societies are consuming more resources than become available. So the decline accelerated and we now have a hi-speed plunge with no way out unless we make some changes. That of creating more than we consume, globally, naturally. For example the Global Eco way of reversing and enriching our devastated world and our badly damaged God-given planet. 70% of the land area is desert. From my driving around some million miles for half a century I would say that 95% of our world’s land is barren, unproductive with no life. Only 12% is inhabited. While our only source and support for life is the sunlight of up to 1,000 watts a square metre, currently bouncing off and heating the atmosphere on its way back into Space – unused.

 Ignoring reality

Something strange has happened to our western cultures. Maybe it is our centralist-capitalist-political culture that fascinates our authorities and leaders. A reluctance to admit that our prevailing culture is absurd, hopelessly old fashioned and out of date, and that we need a change – an evolutionary step.  The changing of our increasingly devastated planet into a people-oriented world of constant enrichment in a practical way combined with universal spiritual harmony. The World Answers for all our people. The Global Eco way.

PART TWO (to follow).

Covering:

The opportunities.  Making it happen.   Realities into reality.

Forty years of study, activities and research by volunteers of world concern, and mainly self-funded, needs some cooperation. In order to give our world the enormous diversification of practical solutions that are understood – ranging from personal and local to national and global. As an investment towards building a worthwhile future, individual, group, and large contributions can bring about the changes we need.

To find out more, and ask anything you like, you can phone me from 12 to 12 noon to midnight UK time any day except Mondays. Record it if you wish.  To combine it with help for our running costs will be greatly appreciated.
